Very unusual drab ware salt glaze jug circa 1840 with hounds hunting a stag and a boar in high relief. Another whippet style dog is fashioned as the handle, and he dips his head in the jug to lick the contents. Would it be for milk? Or does the vine leaf pattern suggest it is for wine?? Stands about 21.5cm tall. Condition immaculate.
