Very collectible 19th Century Black Forest Hare inkwell and Stamp holder, finely carved from Linden wood.
The adorable hare has glass eyes, and is sitting on a log. 
There is a tree stump that hinges open to reveal an inkwell, and the hare’s head hinges open too, and inside is a place for stamps.
Victorians would have bought these Swiss carvings on their Grand Tours of Europe.
